Duke Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine with Duke Ahead

Dr Susanne Haga and faculty from the Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine have developed a 6-session workshop series from August to October on precision medicine and interdisciplinary practice. Each session will include a lecture component as well as an interactive skills-based component. CEU credits will be available for pharmacists. Only pharmacists employed by Duke University are eligible to enroll and participate.

This site includes an education program, called  PharmGenEd™ includes a collection of resources including Web-based presentations, live presentation and written articles to increase awareness about the validity and utility of PGx tests and their use in care. The program is designed for pharmacists and physicians, pharmacy and medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education of the UK has developed e-learning programs that you can complete to increase your knowledge about PGx. Their programs have been developed specifically for pharmacists and reviews the basics of pharmacogenetics and its use by pharmacists.




Online CE credit is available from PharmacistLetter for their program “Clinical Implementation of Pharmacogenetics: Hope or Hype?”

Genelex CE

Genelex has a number of options for CE pharmacogenetics. Namely, one collaboration with Ohio Northern University identifies important drug interaction mechanisms, describes the clinical impact of pharmacogenetics, provides tools for understanding pharmacogenetic information, and instructs how to recognize which patients will benefit from pharmacogenetic testing and assess medication profiles for pharmacogenetic impact.
